It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the CannX Brazil – 2nd International Congress of Cannabinoid Medicine, to be held from 7 to 8 November 2019, at the Renaissance São Paulo Hotel, in São Paulo, Brazil.

This edition of CannX Brazil follows the highly successful inaugural 1st International Congress of Cannabinoid Medicine, which hosted close to 450 participants and which will again see Israelis and Brazilians coming together to help improve in Brazil and Latin America, the knowledge about this ancient medicine and, at the same time, revolutionize.

From 1975 to 1982, a partnership between the Israeli research group lead by Raphael Mechoulam and the Brazilian team lead by Elisaldo Carlini yielded five articles revealing to the world the powerful anti-epileptic properties of cannabidiol. Nowadays, thousands of epileptic people around the world are enjoying the benefits of those pioneering studies, and many more are having their suffering significantly mitigated by the growing number of medicinal applications for Cannabis and cannabinoids.

Brazil is Latin America´s regional power with more than two hundred million citizens. By June a proposal from the initiative will be presented to the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency – Anvisa, which will discuss the regulation for local production, distribution, research and use of cannabis and its derivatives. This step is being eagerly awaited by thousands of patients for whom cannabinoids represent the hope for a new, longer and much better life.

This conference will bring together some of the most important leaders in cannabinoid medicines from Israel and the world. It shall include the participation of some of the leading experts in Brazil and Latin America, besides the local authorities. This will contribute regionally and globally to improve the growing scientific connection in the field.

At the occasion, the medical and scientific community from Brazil will have a dedicated agenda and all the support from the organization to freely discuss and organize themselves in order to eventually foster the establishment and diffusion of the cannabinoid medicine in Brazil.
